We live in an age where technology is prominent. The Huawei Watch 2 is a fairly new piece of technology. It has a strong health and fitness angle & has a special low-power mode that can display the time and track steps for nearly a month in a single charge.

It was released on 18 April 2017 in the US. It is IP68 certified which means, it is dust & waterproof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes. It runs Android Wear 2.0. It can run native standalone apps and one can easily download their favourite apps directly on the watch. 57g in weight and has a small display the Huawei Watch is surprisingly light considering the GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G SIM crammed inside. The flat rear to the watch case means it sits comfortably on the arms, with the built-in heart rate monitor almost flush to the metal cover.

The watch 2 has a sportier and more rugged look with curved straps. It also includes an extra button that can be customized to quickly jump into a certain app.

Huawei also partnered with First Beat, a company that specializes in physiological analytics for sports and well-being, to provide various features. This watch can create a personalized running plan for you. Also provide real-time coaching and guidance. The GPS in this watch allows it to measure pace, distance and speed when running. Unlike the first-generation this watch only offered on-demand heart- rate, the new model will continuously track heart rate similar to the Fitbit Charge 2.

Furthermore, you can wear it constantly during hiking, running and a couple of at-home workouts, except when charging it or swimming but you can shower with it. It is one of the few Android Wear watches that has a speaker, which you can use for notifications and alarms. You can also play music directly from the watch. It also lacks a rotating bezel, so all of your interaction happens on that tiny screen. There are 2 buttons on its side:

• One is used to open apps and launch Assistant.
• Second launches workout tracking.

Android Pay is another new addition with Wear 2.0. If you can load your credit cards into the watch, so you can easily use this watch to pay for the good.
